Some mini creaturekeyrings for my friends. They had to choose one with their eyes closed. There was a lot of grateful squealing from the girls and the guys all stuffed them in their shirt pockets. I think the restuarant staff were a tad confused. :D hehe!

I'll make more of these to sell on my site... when I locate some more glass eyes. :XD: They will be more detailed too, as I had to rush these babies in 2 hours. ;)

Did you use a front and back pattern?

I dont usually make templates, but I do for the smaller characters to make sure they work right. I make a prototype then when I'm happy with it I trace around it onto card and use it for the others. :)

Yes! I made a template and forced myself to finish them with no break. The eyes just snap on and the for the mouthes I used very strong fabric glue. My fingers tried to fuse together. :XD:

If your starting out with plush making. I suggest getting a good sewing machine. It will save you lots of time and make sure everything stays together. ^___^

I want one of those Pixie Singer Sewing Machines! They don't cost that much -_-
Which one do you have?

I have a Singer. It's a really old one that my Nan left me and my sis when she passed away. I also have a cheap bright pink hobby one that cost me only £15! :XD: The Singer one is a lot more reliable though as the cheap one chews things up sometimes. I guess you get what you pay for. :XD:

Yes. I believe they are. Make sure you have spare needles if you are using fleece. I've snapped quite a few. :XD:

Some eyes for plushies aren't riveted, but snap-like. You make a small hole in the fabric and stick the eye through, and then you "snap" on the back of the eye. It's really easy! :D

Here's a website selling them, so you can see both parts at once: [link]
